I chose this rating because John Maxwell is an excellent author and is willing to share the gifts God has given him with others. These leadership thoughts are great for anyone (old/young, student/teacher, parent/child). This information really makes you evaluate who you are as a leader and how strong your character truly is. I advise anyone who wants to grow in their influence, knowledge, and character as a leader to read this book. Notice that his ideas are not leadership principles as in his other books, but are leadership thoughts. In other words, you can use them as guidelines, but they are also there for future reference if you ever have the same doubts or concerns that you had about yourself before reading the book, it's a great read; I finished it in two weeks; you can read a chapter a day as a devotional, pray over it, and apply it! Easy read and worth investing the time to read.
I use this for morning devotions with my wife and children and we all find it quite insightful. It has certainly made a major impact on my children!
This is one of the best daily reader, I have find. it is a blessings to read it each morning.
Good motivating book,read it like a daily devotional
The insight John Maxwell shares is great. I found the book very encouraging. This book does speak specifically to Christians but the principles are pertinent for anyone interested in change.
Another terrific book by John Maxwell. I read on reviewer who said he recycles the same ideas, while I can not totally disagree I find the context that he puts the ideas in is always different and helps me to apply the ideas in a different way. I often give his books as gifts to others and those receiving soon follow suit. Think on These Things has a way of penetrating the inner workings of day to day leadership and living, when you don't even know you need it ;-)
I'm a very big fan of John's and his leadership knowledge is amazing. Lots of times, the information is so exciting but on the other hand, it's simple enough for everyone at all levels to comprehend and as a great leader, it's your duty to pick everyone up on your team and help take them to the top. John's works, both in leadership as well as meditation and other areas are truly filled with information any leader or person who's wanting to improve themselves and their ability to be a good team member can use.
